About Bradley County Virtual School

BRADLEY COUNTY VIRTUAL SCHOOL

Bradley County School provides progressive, non-traditional educational opportunities through Virtual Schooling. The instructional delivery occurs through the Edgenuity learning management system, Schoology, i-Ready, and others, and are facilitated by district funded State of Tennessee certified teachers. Our BCVS TN-certified teachers assist with teaching and learning through our virtual asynchronous learning management system, in synchronous live lessons, and face-to-face learning opportunities. Our school combines a rigorous academic program with student support, as well as experiential learning opportunities to create an extraordinary learning experience. Our faculty serve as teacher-facilitators to reinforce a culture of mastery learning and support. Courses are aligned with Bradley County’s instructional goals and Tennessee’s academic standards, curriculum frameworks, and assessments. Additionally, all courses follow approved Tennessee Department of Education Standards.

The purpose of the BCVS is to meet the academic needs of students outside of the traditional “brick and mortar” school setting through technological platforms and courseware using asynchronous, synchronous, and face-to-face learning opportunities.

The mission of the BCVS is to provide progressive, non-traditional educational opportunities to meet the distinctive needs for all learners to excel.

ASYNCHRONOUS VIRTUAL SCHOOL

Instruction at BCVS is primarily delivered asynchronously. This means that students and teachers can access the courses and participate at various times and need not be online simultaneously. However, our teachers also offer weekly synchronous live online lessons and regular open office hours to support students.
